They say the only thing in life is uncertainty and the only guarantees we have in life are that we are born and we will die, what goes on in between is largely up to us. life has a habit however of getting in the way as does our heritage and our belief system …and then we have those that fall ‘pray’ to the mind being the master not the slave and medication is added to the mix and we no longer trust ourselves. It’s no wonder the milenials are saying ‘enough’ … but does that make them ‘snowflakes’. ? Some believe they are just throwing away the rule books and living a life based upon new belief systems that do serve them well. It’s perhaps time to say goodbye to ‘keep calm and carry on’. I am a big believer in metaphysics, our body is talking us all the time we have just become addicted to distraction and we lose sight of our own mind and body connection.
I have been forced to sit a lot the last few days due to my ankle and as I reflected on what it ‘means’ I am reminded our ankle is often linked to ‘guilt at receiving joy in our lives’ and part of the remedy is knowing that seeking joy and seeking fear require the same amount of energy but have very different outcomes. Life is great at shifting our sails for us when we ignore its whispers… I am choosing to lean in and listen to what it means to me right now but we must always be mindful of our own belief system and what serves us well as individuals.
Being human means we always have free will but knowing we are all spiritual beings having a human experience gives us the choice of either trusting in every moment we are enough just as we are and simply by being good at what we do, or we can hustle and control and therefore resist all we desire…it’s a fine line and it requires dedication and patience but like my ankle when we surrender to the pain it often feels uncomfortable for a while but rest is as good as action when it’s aligned with a why that is bigger than us and a heart that trusts more than it fears. Do the work but know that life is our guru and we can choose to work hard and play hard or we can choose to simply seek the joy and let the rest take care of itself.
