The differences between Religion and spirituality always creates a conversation and as I met a man on my run this morning checking what time the church service was I was reminded how important a faith can be to people…especially when life feels fearful. I was re-reminded of it later in the day when I was contacted by someone who needed prayers for someone with an aggressive form of cancer. Life works in mysterious ways sometimes and I am always grateful for the way it mirrors to me what I need to hear.
When I hear some people about functional medicine world talk, they seem to think it’s in conflict with religion and yet our ability to trust in something we cannot see but know is there …is simply an energy that allows us to trust that all is well even when we cannot see it. Faith is faith whatever we believe in and judgement is always a sign of fear not trust.
I am not ‘religious’ but I am very aware that the power of ‘prayer’ should never be underestimated …and the power of trust is without question our superpower…but when we align it all with unconditional love and kindness we find that our ability to create peace of mind is far more in our hands than we ‘think’ it is.
Whatever your faith, know that when you seek the good the good has a habit of seeking you …and when you have peace of mind you also gain courage of heart.
Align with your own truth and allow whatever you have faith in to guide you forward one step at a time and know that when we wish good for others the universe returns the complement three fold because kindness is something that costs nothing but has the power to change everything.
