I got glandular fever just before my O’Levels and I my grades reflected how ill I was but I took it that it was a reflection of how capable I was and gave up on learning. If only I had known then what I know now …but then I would not be doing what I do now…. My journey on from glandular fever included exhaustion into my daily life and by the time I was in my 20’s I slept most of the weekend to be able to cope with the week. At the time I did not really think anything of it, I just thought it was how I was but now I know better. I have worked on unravelling my onion layers and whilst I still have to be careful and listen to my body.. there is nothing wrong with 20 minute naps .. infact I recommend them, we do need to listen to our bodies well before it screams :
