Back in the day I had corporate job analysing what people buy, how people buy and why people buy and feeding that information back to a big marketing department so the company could sell the right thing to the right people and make loads of money.
(with a Master’s degree in Forensic Science it was either the analyst job or poking around dead people.)
So my job was kind of like the “profiling” that you see on TV, but different.
In 2007, I had a brief and unsuccessful foray into the world of full time entrepreneurship.
I call it my “real world MBA” because I learned the difference between how I thought a small business works and how it actually works AND I ended up £20,000 in the red. Ouch!
When I started my current business in 2010, I used my corporate experience, added my nerdy profiling superpower and hit the 6 figure mark in 2 years. Boom!
