Home is where the heart is – that’s what they say isn’t it ? But what happens when you don’t know where that is – is it where you physically live, where you were brought up or somewhere we are yet to go to. I have had first hand experience of this recently as I am due to move in the next few days and having been ‘in the process’ of moving for over 3 years in many respects its a huge relief. The motive for moving is as a result of economic climate and increasing school fees however that is beside the point. What I have discovered tho is that whilst I was ok with detaching from the physical house it is after all just bricks and mortar what I was struggling with was the location and how it made me feel. Granted it is idyllic, I have a stream, fields, birds flowers and plenty of quiet countryside but in my logical head I can get that anywhere but in my heart I knew there was something else too. I finally got that eureka moment this morning on my run and it was simple this is the first place I have ever felt truly safe to be me and that is why I have a heart wrenching feeling in my stomach as it feels great and I am slightly concerned I will lose it again – I wont obviously but …
So when they say home is where the heart is, switch that on the head and say home is where you feel safe and yourself and the only place you can find that is inside you ! So on a personal note thank you North America Farm for helping me find me and here’s to the new home will be where my heart is – for now that is ..
